Würzburg. The 2019 German Biotech Days (DBT), offer a forum for all stakeholders in Germany’s biotech scene to exchange views and experiences. The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency (BayFIA) will take part in the event and inform visitors about its service portfolio.

Since 2010, the Council of German BioRegions in BIO Deutschland has put on the German Biotech Days (DBT) an annual two-day event.

This event is a meeting place for more than 850 representatives from the worlds of business, science and government, including partners from funding institutions and public administration. Through a series of talks, panel discussions and breakfast sessions, the conference discusses the conditions for innovation in biotechnology and the wide range of biotech applications.

In addition, an accompanying exhibition will give companies, research institutes, associations and organizations an opportunity to present themselves to conference attendees.

The Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency will be present at the exhibition and inform about issues related to research and innovation funding, knowledge and technology transfer, patents and licences.

Nürnberg. From June 27-28, 2018, Bayern Innovativ will organise the international congress „MatX 2018”. The focus of this congress lies on material innovations.

The everyday life in our modern society would not be possible without high tech materials. Sneakers, mobiles, cars or wind turbines – we find materials everywhere. New technologies rapdily change the way how materials will be produced in the future.

Experts are invited for the international Conference “MatX 2018” to examine this new machine age, to discuss composites for future mobility, to present the progress in additive manufacturing and to show novel concepts for material recycling and application of renewable resources.

On the first day the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency will be there to present an overview of its comprehensive service an consulting portfolio for your innovative material-project ideas.

Enjoy new formats to think outside the box.

Erlangen. From November 23-25, 2016, Bayern Innovativ will organise the congress „Next Generation Solar Energy meets Nanotechnology”. The focus of this congress lies on cross-linking at an early stage world-class science and business in the area of next generation energy to further enhance technological and commercial exploitation.

The congress will offer an excellent opportunity to learn about latest developments in the field of next generation energy, essentially photovoltaics. In addition, the project association UMWELTnanoTECH will present their results. The association aimed to develop environmentally safe applications for organic photovoltaics (OPV), energy storage devices, and thermoelectrics.

In the context of 15 slots the following topics will be discussed:

  1. OPV (materials, devices, multijunctions, processing)
  2. Perovskite (materials, devices, processing)
  3. Next Generation Concepts (Up & Down Conversion, interband conversion, hot carrier relaxation, TT Harvesting, …)
  4. Solution-processed quantum dots, colloidal and nanostructured “Solar Energy Harvesting”
  5. High and low T “Solar Water Splitting”
  6. Energy storage devices and thermoelectricity

Congress participants will benefit from great networking opportunities and can find new partners from science or industry for their projects.

At its stand, the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency will give insights into different solar energy-related research funding programmes of the EU, Germany and Bavaria. In addition to that, the Agency will deliver information on its service portfolio ranging from support in the application process and international partnering to technology transfer and patent exploitation.
